Their Housing department has over 30 years of experience, consistently delivering exceptional legal services and social housing providers and private landlords.
Role Overview
Due to continued growth, our client are now seeking a dynamic and experience housing litigator to join their esteemed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for housing litigation and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of housing litigation matters, including but not limited to defending disrepair claims, possession, civil injunctions, defending EPA claims, ASB, and fraud.
- Utilise strong expertise in landlord and tenant matters, AST, and/or leasehold matters, with a focus on forfeiture claims.
- Deliver exceptional client care and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Actively participate in marketing and networking initiatives to promote the firm's services.
- Maintain monthly time recording and billing targets, ensuring consistent performance.
- Supervise and manage support services, including secretarial and junior staff.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
- Proven experience in a housing management legal department within a solicitor’s firm or in-house.
- Track record of successfully managing a busy caseload of housing litigation matters.
- Familiarity with case management systems and legal procedures.
- Strong client care skills and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and work effectively under pressure.
- Participation in marketing and networking activities is highly desirable.
- Highly competitive salary plus Profit Share bonus based on firm's success.
- Up to 10% Solicitor Bonus.
