About the Role
As an International Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will be to facilitate the financial planning, reporting, and decision making requirements of International; covering Franchise, 3rd party online, consolidation Western Europe markets and new market opportunities. You will provide financial analysis and insight to support the Business Partner & International Director – International and support and independently challenge the International team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of all regular Commercial Finance reporting for approval by the International Business Partner with particular emphasis on providing ‘analysis’ and not just ‘data’ – although all such data to be accurate and timely.
- Production & consolidation of International monthly management accounts ensuring accurate and timely outputs and analysis, with standard financial processes consistently and accurately carried out. Outputs to include Operations team budget management schedules.
- Manage International Budgeting, Forecasting and Five Year Plan process – produce P&L and Capital plans for approval by the International Business Partner.
- Develop existing and new tools to gauge Chimp Studio and partner performance; reporting information regularly to the IP Operations and Merchandising teams, and agreeing financial action points.
- Ownership of tools to assess new business, whether new partners, new stores, or other. Support to the International Business Partner with recommendations for decision making to the wider business in line with agreed Finance ownership.
- Particular ownership for decision making support for new Franchise partners, and support to Business Partner – Franchise & 3rd Party Ecomm on new ownership models and other contract renewals and renegotiations.
- Assist proactively in International projects (including systems developments) and ad hoc analysis to support the International Business Partner.
- Support and guidance to Core finance on all aspects of IP invoicing for royalty, entry fees, design fees and GNFR.
- Develop, manage and implement the Chimp Studio debt management policy.
- Be the number 2 to the International Finance Business Partner deputizing where necessary.
Experience & Skills
- Good understanding of commercial financial and operational metrics.
- Previous experience in a commercial environment, ideally with a retail background (International experience desirable) and management accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills (vlookup, hlookup, pivot tables etc).
- Professional qualification (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Ability to de-mystify financial performance to provide clear and concise reporting and analysis resulting in balanced guidance and judgment.
- Continued development and re-evaluation of financial reporting and analysis.
