The Marina Centre provides an exciting range of activities for residents and visitors alike, including a leisure pool with two slides, a fun splash zone, clip and climb, an impressive fitness suite, exercise studios, and a sports hall. The centre also boasts an amazing café overlooking the beach, providing a focal point for the community.
If you like talking to people, this is definitely the role for you. We understand that engaging with customers and colleagues can be challenging, and we will provide all the training needed to be a successful Lifeguard. We believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of whom might be in their first job and need more support from their colleagues.
In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers by offering friendly, clean, and safe facilities. You will need to be able to swim competently, and if you need extra coaching to reach the level needed to become a lifeguard, one of our excellent swim teachers will support you to improve.
Hours: Casual hours, as and when required.
Requirements:
- NPLQ qualification or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS check
- Competent swimmer – swim test will need to be completed as part of the interview process
- An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented approach, able to work across organisation boundaries
- Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
