We're looking to on-board a new generation of crew members at

Thekla as we prepare for a busy freshers and gig season from September.

Searching for people passionate about live music and events to join the city's best event team in the centre of Bristol.

About Us

Thekla is a world-famous multi-award winning live music venue and nightclub moored in Bristol's Harbour since 1984, one of the world's only music venues inside a ship.

We host hundreds of gigs and club nights each year to over 100,000 customers, and are growing each year as we remain one of Bristol's most popular venues.

About You

Our crew is a tight-knit and efficient crew.

We're looking for people who will be able to adapt to fast-paced, customer facing roles across our bar team, street promotions team, and welfare crew.

No previous experience is required (though is handy to have), and all training will be provided in a one-day crash course of the venue with our current crew's supervisors and managers.

No two days at Thekla are the same, and our large variety of events means there's always something to keep you excited about work and getting stuck in.

From gigs, to clubs, to raves, to full festivals throughout the year - as a member of the crew you'll have plenty to get involved in.

  • About The Hours

Thekla is a late-night venue, with gig shifts running from 17:00 - 23:00 most days and club shifts often ending around 04:00.

We expect potential crew to be aware of these hours and be available to work them.

We also expect crew to be available two out of three Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week.

Some of our key events throughout the year are more vital than others, and our crew are also expected to be available on those days. They include:

  • December 31st (2x pay)
  • October 31st
