About the role
We’re seeking a Communications Manager to help plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality communications that build awareness of Theirworld. Working across campaigns, media, content and digital channels, you’ll manage multiple projects and help turn ideas into action. Reporting to the Director of Communications and working closely with our Senior Brand Manager, you’ll be a proactive and highly organised communications professional with excellent project management skills, strong editorial judgement and the ability to spot and tell compelling stories that engage our supporters.
Main responsibilities
- Lead communications projects: Plan, coordinate and deliver communications activity across multiple campaigns, events and organisational priorities. Manage project plans, timelines and workflows, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Develop compelling content and stories: Work with colleagues across the organisation to identify stories, gather content and create engaging communications across a range of channels, including social media, web, email and print.
- Support media and campaigns: Coordinate communications for brand outputs including reports, campaigns, events and media opportunities by preparing content, briefing materials, case studies and supporting assets.
- Manage digital channels: Plan and deliver content across Theirworld’s owned channels, ensuring communications are timely, engaging and aligned with our brand and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate across the organisation: Work with colleagues and external partners to manage competing priorities, identify communications opportunities and ensure projects are delivered effectively.
- Measure performance and improve: Monitor communications performance, produce regular reports and use insights to improve content, campaigns and ways of working.
Experience, skills and character
We’re looking for a highly organised communications professional who enjoys managing multiple projects and turning ideas into action. Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software is an advantage. Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and editorial judgement. Experience planning and delivering communications across a range of channels, including digital, media and campaigns. Experience creating engaging brand content for social media, websites and email. The ability to identify compelling stories and adapt them for different audiences and platforms. Comfortable working within established communications systems, processes and brand guidelines, while identifying opportunities to improve ways of working. Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to work independently.
Starting at £40,000+ based on qualifications and experience.
