Taco Bell was born and raised in California and has been around since 1962. We went from selling everyone’s favourite Crunchy Tacos on the West Coast to a global brand with 8,200+ restaurants, 350 franchise organizations, that serve 42+ million fans each week around the globe. Taco Bell has 8,200+ restaurants in over 32 countries around the world, with offices in the U.S., Canada, UK, India, Australia, and Singapore. We’re not only the largest Mexican-inspired quick service brand (QSR) in the world, we’re also part of the biggest restaurant group in the world: Yum! Brands. Much of our fan love and authentic connection with our communities are rooted in being rebels with a cause. From ensuring we use high quality, sustainable ingredients to elevating restaurant technology in ways that hasn’t been done before, we will continue to be inclusive, bold, challenge the status quo and push industry boundaries. We fuel our culture with real people who bring unique experiences. We inspire and enable our teams and the world to Live Más. We truly believe that where you work matters and taking care of our employees matters as much to us as taking care of our fans.

At Taco Bell, we aren’t just looking for candidates. We are looking for a marketing rock star, who has a unique combination of strong creative thinking and a commercial mindset, with a restless drive to grow brand awareness. We want someone who not only LOVES tacos but has a real passion for marketing and delivering winning results. You will report directly to our UK Head of Marketing who will be there to champion and coach you to success. At Taco Bell we are a tight band of cultural rebels here to make an impact, we operate a fairly flat structure, and you will have visibility and access to everyone from our General Manager all the way through to our global Taco Bell International Leaders who will be on hand to support and champion your work and career growth. We also need people who are comfortable working in a more entrepreneurial “start-up” environment. This will require you to think strategically and commercially at times but also be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the execution phase for key projects.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Be the strategic and commercial business owner to deliver a marketing strategy that super‑charges our retail footfall to our restaurants and re‑enforces consumer perception.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on below and above‑the‑line campaigns, managing creative agency partners and influencing stakeholders.
  • You will lead key national campaigns from defining phase to execution to create big ideas that will scale the fame of the brand over time.
  • Lead a cross functional squad across commercial finance, restaurant operations and food innovation to deliver the brand strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with Franchise partners to implement the brand strategy.
  • Identify the opportunities to grow revenue by driving relevance and distinctiveness to increase the awareness of the brand through a pipeline of core activations, limited time offers and value plays.
  • Leverage learnings and best practices from Taco Bell Global markets on key marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure integration across all marketing online programs.

Is this you?

  • At least 5 years of professional non‑internship marketing experience.
  • You’ll have worked your way up the marketing ladder working in a QSR, retail, FMCG or food related industry, working on big brand building and commercial performance marketing initiatives.
  • Strong, relationship‑focused leader with proven track record of inspiring and influencing cross‑functional partners, internal and external stakeholders to deliver results and foster collaboration and alignment.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies, building and executing marketing calendars across multiple and individual markets.
  • Experience launching new products a plus.
  • Experience effectively managing all aspects of creative process: brief writing, overseeing production and post‑production (television and photoshoots), managing creative agencies, and responsibility for timeline and budgets.
  • Data driven. Big picture thinker with ability to turn strategy into action.
  • Flexible and eager to drive change. Collaborative. A team player who is accountable and flexible. Thrives in fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience managing brands or projects, creating marketing/agency briefs, and developing sell‑in decks.
  • Consulting or strategy experience building business cases and creating proposals to take our franchisee partners with you on the journey.
  • Restaurant or retail experience with an understanding of operational complexity.
