We are looking for an experienced lighting designer to join our team. This permanent role is office based in the Technical Department in Ware, Hertfordshire.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience in lighting design, preferably in a similar role. Any relevant portfolio material would be welcomed.
- Proficiency in lighting design software, as listed below.
- Possess an excellent appreciation of lighting technicalities, and other relevant metrics.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilise lighting design software, such as Agi32/Lighting Reality/Relux/Dialux to create comprehensive lighting plans for projects. Training will be offered if necessary, on any of these programs.
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring optimal lighting solutions.
- Review and improve existing lighting designs, looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce the number of luminaires.
- Interpret and apply relevant regulations related to the exterior lighting design task.
- Work closely with the Sales team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination of operations.
- Occasional site visits may be required anywhere in the UK, which may include working outside normal office hours.
- Other duties as required.
PACKAGE
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays.
