As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to strengthen our presence across the regions.
This is not an entry-level sales role.
We are looking for someone who already has an established reputation within the UK street lighting industry and can build upon existing relationships to generate new opportunities.
The Role
You will take ownership of the regions, developing new business while managing and growing relationships with local authorities, highway contractors, consultants, and distribution partners.
Working closely with our technical lighting design team, you will help customers deliver compliant, energy-efficient lighting solutions from initial engagement through to project award.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who already have
- An established network of contacts within
UK local authorities , street lighting teams and highways departments.
- Existing relationships with street lighting engineers, asset managers, consultants and term maintenance contractors .
- A proven track record of developing and winning business within the street lighting or highways sector.
- Experience promoting technical products through specification and framework opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long‑term business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience within the street lighting industry is highly desirable.
Candidates from the wider highways, electrical infrastructure or outdoor lighting sectors with strong local authority relationships will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the regions.
- Build and strengthen relationships with local authorities, contractors and consultants.
- Promote Orange Tek's range of LED street lighting and smart lighting solutions.
- Identify upcoming lighting replacement programmes and framework opportunities.
- Support customers with technical presentations, product demonstrations and project development.
- Work closely with our lighting design team to deliver compliant solutions. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
- Represent Orange Tek at industry events and customer meetings.
- Support tender bids.
- Gather product feedback and new product development opportunities.
