Due to a sustained increase in workload, we are seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join our well-established General Works team based in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected and growing organisation delivering high-quality electrical services across multiple sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Defence and Research. Our projects span Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties, supporting a strong base of repeat business.
Reporting directly to the General Works Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of a wide range of electrical systems
- Modify, fault-find and install electrical systems within commercial and industrial environments
- Test and inspect electrical installations, including completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Liaise directly with clients, representing the business in a professional and proactive manner
- Work independently using your own initiative while maintaining high standards of workmanship
We are looking for a qualified electrician with:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience post-apprenticeship
- Strong commercial and industrial experience
- Sound knowledge of current Health Safety requirements
- Good understanding of BS7671 and relevant Building Regulations
- The ability to work unsupervised
