What You’ll Be Doing
As a Maths or ICT Teacher in an SEN school, you will:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 pupils (and occasionally Year 8)
- Teach either Maths or ICT as your specialist subject
- Apply effective behaviour management strategies in a SEND context
- Follow established school routines and individual pupil support plans
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and support teams
- Provide feedback to support pupil progress and attainment
Who You Are
We are seeking candidates who:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Maths or ICT at primary or KS3 level
- Are confident working in SEN / Additional Needs settings
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have an up-to-date DBS (or are willing to apply)
Experience with SEN support plans, differentiated learning, or alternative communication strategies is highly desirable.
