Job Description

Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Together with our Cambridge based client we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Food and Beverage Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality, who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and inspiring others to deliver service excellence.

In this role, you will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll lead by example, supporting and developing the team while playing a hands-on part in delivering a welcoming, professional, and high-quality service for every guest.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences every day
  • Assisting with the smooth operation of food and beverage services, ensuring standards remain consistently high
  • Supporting with recruitment, training, and ongoing development of team members
  • Taking a hands-on approach to service, setting the tone for professionalism and attention to detail
  • Overseeing rotas, ensuring the department runs efficiently while supporting team wellbeing
  • Managing beverage ordering and stock control, ensuring compliance and maximising profitability
  • Attending and contributing to management meetings, helping shape departmental improvements
  • Promoting food and beverage sales, looking for opportunities to enhance the guest experience
