Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Teacher of Design Technology to join our established and successful department. The Design Technology team is based in its own dedicated area, with well‑equipped specialist rooms, workshops, graphics rooms, additional computer work areas and CAD/CAM facilities. Experienced technicians support lesson and practical work. Design Technology is taught to all KS3 students and offers specialisms at KS4 and KS5, including 3D Product Design and Graphic Products. The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 in the future. The role requires a commitment to high‑quality teaching, innovative planning and strong teamwork within a supportive department.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with the possibility of KS5 teaching.
  • Plan and implement an engaging, practical curriculum that supports student creativity, problem‑solving, independence and future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, technicians and support staff to ensure smooth delivery of lessons and practical work.
  • Maintain high standards of lesson preparation and assessment to support student progress.
