We are seeking a creative, organised and proactive Art Technician to support our vibrant Art Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing students’ learning experiences through the preparation and maintenance of materials, equipment and resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and setting up materials for practical art lessons, and ensuring that all equipment and workspaces are maintained in a safe, clean and organised condition. You will also assist with stock control, ordering supplies, preparing displays of students’ work, and supporting departmental administration.

A strong awareness of health and safety is essential, as you will be responsible for the safe handling, storage and maintenance of equipment and materials, as well as carrying out routine checks and addressing any issues promptly.

We are looking for someone with an interest in art, good practical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in an educational setting or similar role would be advantageous but not essential.

This is a term-time only position, working up to 11 hours per week, ideally spread across three days: 9am–12pm on Monday and Friday, with a longer day on Wednesday from 9am–2pm. Flexibility can be offered, provided the working pattern meets the needs of the school, alongside the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and creative school environment.
