Micheldever C of E Primary school is seeking a passionate and talented HLTA to join our hard‑working, welcoming and skilled team from 1st September 2026. We are a small, rural village school who serves the needs of our diverse community through high‑quality, inclusive teaching and by instilling our four key Christian values of Love, Trust, Hope and Forgiveness in all who attend. We have high expectations for all of our pupils, regardless of their background, and work incredibly hard to make sure that all children thrive.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and contributes to a strong safeguarding culture across the school
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum across subjects
  • Ability to lead whole‑class learning confidently
  • Skilled at adapting teaching for SEND, EAL, and disadvantaged pupils
  • Uses assessment effectively to identify next steps
  • Builds excellent relationships with children
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour, presentation, and learning
  • Confident in delivering interventions with measurable impact
  • Works collaboratively with other members of staff
  • Promotes independence and encourages resilience
