With 1,620 pupils across our two phases, we are lucky to have excellent teaching facilities, including science laboratories, computing suites, and a purpose-built art and sculpture block. We take pride in a lovely environment for teaching and learning.

The Westgate School is the lead school for the Winchester Schools Training Alliance (WSTA), working with 21 other schools in the Winchester district to train the next generation of teachers. Support colleagues employed by The Westgate School wanting to go on to apply for the WSTA training programme will automatically be offered an interview provided the course requirements are met.

You will need Maths and English at GCSE Grade 4 (C) or equivalent. The role will predominantly be in the secondary phase although you may on occasion be required to cover lessons in the primary phase.
