Woodcroft Primary School is a warm, inclusive and ambitious one‑form‑entry school with a strong moral purpose and a deeply embedded trauma‑informed ethos. We are seeking an inspirational Headteacher to guide the next stage of our journey. Our 2024 Ofsted inspection recognised Woodcroft as a good school with outstanding personal development, praising our calm, purposeful atmosphere, highly inclusive culture and strong safeguarding practice.
With around 65% of pupils identified as disadvantaged, we are committed to equity, nurture and high expectations for every child. We are looking for a Headteacher who is visible, compassionate and strategic — someone who can strengthen outcomes for all pupils, champion exemplary SEND practice, and build strong relationships with families and the wider community.
In return, we offer enthusiastic pupils, a dedicated and skilled staff team, extensive outdoor learning including Forest School, and a supportive Governing Body.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
