We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher of Physical Education with Dance who has high expectations and continuously strives for the best outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School. Our vision ‘We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together’ encapsulates the work we do every day. Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,090 students. We have been recently graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
The Physical Education Department consists of a dedicated team of experienced staff. It is well-resourced with specialist facilities, including an Olympic gymnastics hall, astro turf, superb floodlit tennis courts, hockey/football pitches, fitness suite, dance studio and sports hall. The number of students opting to study examination PE is high and we currently follow the Edexcel course for GCSE PE, additionally we offer an NCFE qualification. Outcomes are consistently good and above both Hampshire and National Averages and we offer many extra-curricular opportunities.
We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner who can inspire students. They will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make learning exciting, engaging yet challenging in the build-up leading to examination success. The successful candidate will teach Physical Education and Dance at both KS3 and KS4 level. This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs.
