The Hamble School (Satchell Lane, Southampton) is hiring a Teacher of PE for a fixed‑term contract starting September 2026. Full time (part‑time hours will be considered). Closing date: 17 June 2026. Contract type: Fixed Term Contract – 1 year.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of PE to join our dedicated team from September 2026, to teach Girls’ PE at Key Stages 3 and 4. Our vision “We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together” encapsulates the work we do every day. The current student intake is 1,090 students. In March 2025 we were graded “Good” by Ofsted. The PE department consists of a head of department and five specialist teachers. Students enrol in GCSE PE and NCFE Health and Fitness. The department benefits from excellent sports facilities, enabling high‑quality teaching and a wide range of sporting opportunities. All staff contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra‑curricular provision, fixtures, trips and visits.
