We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Student Support Officer who has high expectations and continuously strives for the very best outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School. Our vision ‘We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together’ encapsulates the work we do every day. We have 1,090 students and have recently been graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted. Our Pastoral Team includes Progress Leaders, Assistant Progress Leaders, Student Welfare Officer, Admissions and Exclusions Officer, and Behaviour Administration Support. We aim to deliver the highest level of student support to promote progress and high standards of achievement and behaviour.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to students to promote their progress and well-being.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies.
- Work as part of the wider Pastoral Team to support all aspects of student progress.
- Exhibit a solution‑focused, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Possess an existing first aid qualification (desirable).
