We are looking for a strong and organised Pastoral Support Assistant who has high standards of work and continuously strives to improve their practices. We have been recently graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.

The Pastoral Team consists of a dedicated team of experienced staff, including Progress Leaders, Assistant Progress Leaders, Student Support Officers, Admissions and Exclusions officer and Pastoral Support. Our aim is to deliver the highest level of student support to promote progress and high standards of achievement and behaviour.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team and be required to:

  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including correspondence, detentions, logging pupil's behaviour records, running reports and producing detention registers.
  • Notify parents of pupils' detention and Internal Suspensions.
  • Collate supporting materials and documentation required for exclusions, reintegration and suspension meetings.
  • Maintain files and data used within the behaviour administration systems.
  • Analyse behaviour and attainment data and produce reports, documents and correspondence.
  • Support day-to-day running of Internal Suspension.
  • Monitor the use of Class Charts for behaviour and rewards.
  • Provide support to all stakeholders (including parents/ carers) on the use of Class Charts.
  • Produce certificates for end of term awards and Proud Friday events.
  • Admin related to events, trips and visits.
  • Support in Student Welfare Services.

  • Experience of general clerical/administrative work.
  • Some experience of working in a school/ with children is desirable but not essential.
