The Role
- Supervise children in the lunch hall, classrooms, playgrounds, play areas and field
- Help children to eat their lunch safely and happily
- Encourage good manners, kindness and positive play
- Support younger children with practical skills, such as using a knife and fork
- Help set up and tidy the lunch hall, including tables and chairs
- Listen to children and support them with small worries or friendship issues
- Follow the school’s behaviour, safeguarding, first aid, health and safety procedures
- Work as part of a friendly team to make lunchtimes safe, calm and enjoyable
