Job/Person Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship Premises Manager, to work alongside our Site team, to join the team at our friendly and popular Primary School. Ideally, we would like someone who would work 14:30 until 18:30 each day. These hours are indicative of what we would like but are negotiable and we accept full or part time. We would be willing to offer more hours for the right candidate.
The role includes taking responsibility for locking and unlocking the school and maintaining the grounds and buildings. The ideal candidate will be hard working, dependable, be able to use their own initiative and be flexible in their approach to their duties. A range of practical and DIY skills would be desirable to ensure the school is safe and well maintained.
We are looking for someone who can work in partnership with the school team to:
- Maintain the school site, grounds and buildings
- Take responsibility for site security
- Ensure the school is unlocked and locked daily, carrying out security and safety checks; there may also be a requirement to open and close the school outside the core hours.
- Undertake a range of minor repairs and redecoration within the school buildings and grounds
- Liaise with school cleaning team.
- Ensure the school is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, including undertaking cleaning duties if necessary e.g. to cover absence
- Take responsibility for stock control and ordering of cleaning/repair products
- Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and school
- Share our school values and ethos
- Have a high degree of personal pride in their work.
- Willing to build relationships with the children
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to undertake basic DIY tasks
- Ability to make a distinctive contribution to the work of the team; a positive and approachable team member
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to develop and learn in the role.
