We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team of hard working and dedicated staff. We would like someone with experience of working with a variety of different groups of children, but training will be given in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Take a practical approach to supporting children's wellbeing across the school.
  • Work with small groups of children as needed within lessons.
  • Deliver targeted learning and interventions for individuals and groups of pupils after training.

Qualifications

  • Be mindful of different pupil groups and their needs, regardless of their background.
  • Have a good standard of general education (GCSE grades A-C or 5-9 in English and Maths).
  • Have experience of supporting children with SEND to access their learning.
  • Have some understanding of the various Special Educational Needs within the school.
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Be able to support the class teacher in the delivery of learning activities for individuals or groups of children.
  • Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
