Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time) Early Years / Key Stage 1 – Class Support & 1:1 SEND Provision
Start Date: 1st September 2026
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive staff team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Early Years / Key Stage 1 provision in a varied and rewarding role. The successful candidate will work across the classroom to support teaching and learning for all children, whilst also delivering targeted support for a child with additional SEND needs as part of their wider classroom experience. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, adapt support effectively and help create a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum across Early Years / Key Stage 1.
- Provide high-quality 1:1 support for a child with additional SEND needs, helping them to access learning and develop independence.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised support strategies.
- Adapt learning and resources to meet individual needs.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families.
- Contribute to assessment, monitoring and record keeping.
- Promote the school’s Christian ethos and values through daily interactions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young children (EYFS / KS1 desirable).
- Has experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND experience desirable).
- Demonstrates patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.
- Communicates effectively with children and adults.
- Works collaboratively whilst showing initiative.
- Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child achieves success.
Salary: Grade B or C depending on experience.
