Daily working hours are 8.30-3.05 and include a 20-minute unpaid break. Band C £18,662- £19,446 (£25,186-26,244 FTE) Pay Award Pending. In addition, there is a First Aid Allowance of £128.64 per annum. Working Hours: Part Time, 31.25 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term Time plus 1 week).

Amery Hill School is seeking a dedicated Medical Room Supervisor to manage our school first aid room. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for students who are injured or feeling unwell, providing high-quality first aid, managing medical records, and offering a reassuring, supportive environment. You do not necessarily need to be a fully qualified nurse, but a strong background in first aid, youth care, or a medical environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • A current First Aid at Work qualification (or a willingness to undergo immediate training).
  • Experience working with children or young people (ideally within an educational, youth work, or healthcare setting).
  • An empathetic, patient, and resilient nature—able to remain calm under pressure and handle medical emergencies with confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion/confidentiality.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills for record‑keeping.
