Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a fully qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in September. We also welcome experienced Learning Support Assistants, who are able to confidently lead whole class teaching.

St Peter’s CE Junior School is a two-form entry Church of England junior school, close to the centre of Farnborough but on a beautiful, tree-lined site which we share with St Peter’s Church. For a small school, we are lucky to enjoy a range of varied facilities including a dedicated art room, lots of quiet group spaces, a pupil kitchen, and our beautiful library at the centre of the school.

We are looking for a creative, passionate professional to join our friendly church school. The successful candidate will:

The role will involve ad-hoc cover of classes, intervention support, and PPA cover, currently based around half an hour of French, and half an hour of ‘Skillsbuilder’ lessons in each class. The confidence to lead French lessons using a pre-prepared online scheme would be an advantage.

The role is for 30 hours/week, based on 6 hours per day, 5 days a week. The contract will initially be for a period of one year, but may be extended subject to the school's needs in subsequent years.
