We have launched our new curriculum in January 2026, based on project learning and enquiry questions, which enriches the educational experience for all pupils. Our incredible outdoor space, including woodland and pond area, is a well‑used resource that inspires curiosity and learning.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide support for pupils across our school. The role will be centred around support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and we are looking for a candidate who can support them predominantly within a classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by supporting their learning and development in a friendly, nurturing and forward‑thinking school.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs.
- Support pupils who may find it challenging to engage in activities alongside their peers.
- Work independently under the guidance and direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing to teaching staff and SENCO.
- Previous experience as an LSA or in a similar role supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to adapt learning activities to engage pupils.
- Confidence in working independently while collaborating effectively with teaching staff.
- A warm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a school community that values every child’s potential.
- Hours: Total 30 – LSA 25 hours per week – Lunchtime Supervisor 5 hours per week.
- Contract type: Fixed Term – September 2026 to August 2027.
- Salary: LSA – EHCC Grade B, starting at £24,796 full‑time equivalent (actual pay pro‑rated for term‑time only).
- Salary: Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant – EHCC Grade A, starting at £24,225 full‑time equivalent (actual pay pro‑rated for term‑time only).
