Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and pro‑active person to join our school team. The post would be very suitable for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work. We are keen to find someone to help us care for our much‑loved and well‑maintained school and be a part of our friendly team and school community.
We are looking for someone who can work in partnership with the school team to:
- Manage the school site and buildings to the highest standard, liaising with contractors
- Take responsibility for site security and for managing key aspects of Health and Safety, Fire safety, COSHH, legionella checks and asbestos awareness
- Ensure the school is unlocked daily and (on occasion) carrying out security and safety checks.
- Undertake a range of minor repairs and redecoration within the school building and grounds
- Regularly carry out and record health and safety checks and ensure that Health and Safety COSHH legislation is kept up to date
- Manage and co‑ordinate school contract cleaners to ensure the school is kept to the highest standard of cleanliness
- Take responsibility for stock control and ordering of repair products alongside the Admin Officer
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the school
- Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy; able to use email and reporting software.
- Have a high degree of professionalism and personal pride in their work.
