The ideal candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic, and hardworking with an eye for detail. You will be driven by a love for the brand, product, and fashion with product development experience. The successful candidate will have some prior experience working in a similar role ideally within fashion or footwear. They will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure, be keen to develop new skills and multi-task.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside Buyers across various product categories driving category performance and innovation.
- Must be a confident communicator, liaising with suppliers as well as cross functionally within Head Office.
- Good problem solver, timekeeper and negotiator.
- Understanding of full end to end buying cycle and confident in critical path management and adhering to deadlines.
- Understanding the marketplace, target customer and key competitors.
- Assist and help develop the supply base and sourcing strategy.
- Admin based tasks such as order raising, order amendments, order reconcile, pulling planners together, ratio checking, line list creation.
- Conducting regular comp shops and market research and able to confidently present findings back.
- Attending weekly fit sessions.
- Attending weekly supplier calls and forging strong relationships with suppliers.
- Trading of the order file evaluating best and worst performing products and suggesting actions based on trading performance.
- Working closely with the merchandising department on shipments, stock movements, qty planning and trade.
- Close working relationship with sales, design, garment tech, marketing and Ecom.
About You:
- 1-2 years’ fashion buying experience is essential.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, the confidence to present ideas to teams and influence others.
- A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise action.
- Relevant degree preferred but not essential.
- Works well under pressure and fast paced environments.
- Drive and enthusiasm, highly engaged and keen to learn and progress.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work on own initiative and independently.
- Highly self-motivated and dynamic individual.
- Team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel.
- Full clean Driving Licence.
- Fearless, Focused, Driven, Resilient, Team Player.
