  • Reporting to: General Manager
  • Based: Peterborough, Sugar Way, New location

Role Overview

The Gym Group is a 24/7 fitness chain with over 230 gyms nationwide, known for its inclusive culture and focus on member experience.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Lead member engagement and enhance member satisfaction.
  • Line manage and motivate fitness trainers, modelling group values.
  • Develop and oversee the Group Exercise timetable and staff training.
  • Drive commercial performance and achieve commercial targets.
  • Ensure high operational standards, including cleaning, maintenance, and supplier management.
  • Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety policies and complete required checks.
  • Support the GM with onsite admin tasks such as rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
  • Serve as a keyholder and main point of contact for emergencies.
  • Provide personal training within employed hours, retaining 100% of earnings with no annual licence fee.

Qualifications

  • Passion for health, fitness, and well‑being.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of leading by example and setting member experience standards.
  • Commitment to understanding member expectations and delivering high service levels.
  • Proven success record in a gym or sports environment.
  • Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for the qualification.
  • Ability to work within compliance parameters while delivering excellent service.
