Location: Hybrid (3 days per week Clapham Junction, 2 days remote)
Overview
Hands-on management accountant responsible for core financial processes, reporting, planning and performance analysis, providing commercial insight to stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end close for assigned business areas.
- Produce high-quality P&Ls, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, trends and variances.
- Support annual budget and periodic forecasting cycles and build robust, realistic budgets.
- Develop scenario analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improved financial performance.
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insight to support delivery.
- Reconcile and maintain integrity of balance sheet accounts.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to influence outcomes.
- Provide clear, data-driven insight to support strategy and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with wider finance team and support ad hoc requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of queries.
Qualifications
- Newly or recently qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or proven experience in a commercial finance or management accounting role (not entry-level).
- Strong technical grounding with the ability to interpret and challenge financial data.
- Confident working with stakeholders and able to communicate financial information clearly.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of deliverables.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities.
