The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To deliver effective reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the site and equipment requirements. This will be in both mechanical and low-voltage electrical disciplines, working under supervision from the Maintenance Engineer and assisting in complex tasks as required. Weekend work will be required and we are happy to discuss shift patterns. We are open to considering both fixed-term contracts and part-time applications. Key Responsibilities
- To ensure timely and safe repairs to malfunctions of machines and devices.
- To complete preventative maintenance and troubleshoot problems with equipment and machinery.
- To ensure efficient maintenance of all machinery following correct time schedules as set out by the scheduled works.
- To have a hands-on approach to engineering, completing frequent walk-rounds, identifying issues and scheduling remediation works.
- To act proactively on information from site staff both within and out of hours to maintain business continuity.
- To work according to the established business processes and addressing employees on correct compliance or execution of these processes.
- To have and ensure awareness of the function of all machinery for operators, to identify gaps where training may be required.
- To take ownership of the agreed maintenance schedule, prioritising the workload, planning, and communicating this with your colleagues.
- To assist in the monitoring and documenting of any stocks, parts or consumables required/used and cleanliness of workshop and store areas.
- To support other employees performing maintenance related tasks.
- To identify and discuss areas where efficiencies and improvements can be made to working processes, in order to reduce costs and improve business efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and other maintenance and safety equipment.
- Obtained or working towards recognised technical skills/qualifications to carry out the role in either mechanical or electrical (and preferably both) disciplines.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Pro-active approach to tasks and availability.
- Fabrication skills desirable.
