Description
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Packhouse at our Ely site. We are seeking a motivated individual to take responsibility for the efficient movement of goods within the Packhouse, while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. The role also involves operating and overseeing the packing lines, ensuring that packaging processes meet Company quality standards and that products are prepared accurately and on time for distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production operatives on the assigned line.
- Allocate staff to tasks and ensure the line is adequately staffed.
- Conduct line start-up checks and ensure production is ready to begin.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards and packing specifications are achieved.
- Monitor productivity, waste and downtime and take corrective action.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and GMP standards are maintained.
- Complete all production documentation accurately.
- Support changeovers and minimise downtime.
- Report equipment faults to Machine Minders or Engineering.
- Train, coach and support new and existing team members.
- Communicate daily production plans, priorities and issues.
- Work closely with Quality, Logistics and Management teams.
- Escalate quality, safety and people issues promptly.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
