Based onsite at Coventry University Monday to Friday 9am-17.30 (1 hour lunch) £12.71 per hour. To start a.s.a.p until 31st December 2026.
We are currently recruiting for 2 Workshop Assistants to support the day-to-day operation of workshop and studio spaces by assisting Technical Demonstrators and Technicians in the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of teaching environments.
These roles will work under supervision to help ensure workshops are safe, clean, organised, and appropriately prepared for teaching, learning, and related activities.
The role will include:
- Workshop Studio Support
- Assist with the preparation and setup of workshop and teaching spaces for classes and activities.
- Prepare materials, equipment, and resources as directed by technical staff.
- Support the clearing, resetting, and tidying of workshop spaces following sessions.
- Assist with the movement of equipment, materials, and furniture as required.
- Maintain clean, organised, and presentable workshop environments at all times.
- Student Support
- Welcome students into workshop spaces in a professional and supportive manner.
- Provide basic guidance on workshop procedures, rules, and booking systems.
- Direct technical or specialist queries to appropriate Technical Demonstrators or Technicians.
- Support student inductions, demonstrations, and workshop events as required.
- Equipment, Resources Digital Fabrication (3D Printing Laser Cutting)
- Assist with the preparation and setup of digital fabrication equipment as needed.
