Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a passion for live events and exhibitions? Do you thrive on winning new business, building senior client relationships, and seeing your ideas come to life on a global stage?
We are partnering with a well-established, internationally active creative production agency known for delivering high-impact events, exhibitions and immersive brand experiences worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the agency's future success.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, ambitious team where your contribution will be visible, valued, and rewarded. Please note: This role includes weekend work and international travel as part of live events and exhibitions.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving new business growth, managing the full sales lifecycle, and developing long-term, profitable client relationships. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across targeted industry sectors
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities (1-5 year outlook)
- Developing trusted relationships with senior-level client decision-makers
- Delivering compelling credential and capability presentations (in-person, virtual, and at industry events)
- Managing the full sales process from lead generation to contract close and handover
- Producing accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and budgets
- Promoting the agency's full service offering and value proposition
- Collaborating closely with creative and production teams to convert wins into long-term accounts
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, including contacts, opportunities and competitor insight
- Providing regular sales updates to senior stakeholders
About You
You will be a confident, proactive new business professional who enjoys autonomy and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in Business Development or New Business within events, exhibitions or a related sector
- A strong track record of winning and negotiating new business
- A consultative sales approach with the ability to uncover client needs and present tailored solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness with good organisational and planning ability
- A self-motivated, resilient mindset and comfort working independently
