thefutureworks are excited to offer an opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in IT support. This role is based in Scarborough at Coventry University Scarborough Campus and would suit someone with a passion for technology, good people skills, and a willingness to learn. Training and support will be provided to help you develop in the role.
As an Entry Level IT Support Technician, you'll be part of a team helping staff with their everyday technology issues. You'll provide first-line technical support, assisting users with computers, laptops and other devices to keep everything running smoothly.
What you'll be doing:
- Responding to IT support requests and helping users resolve issues in person when they cannot be fixed remotely
- Assisting staff with common technology problems
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on computers, laptops, and other devices
- Helping with basic diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices
- Learning from experienced colleagues while developing your IT support skills
About you:
- An interest in IT, technology, and problem solving
- Basic familiarity with computers, laptops, or mobile devices
- A logical approach to figuring out technical problems
- Friendly and confident communication skills when helping others face-to-face
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
