Barr’s Hill School is a forward‑looking secondary school committed to building brighter futures for all pupils. We are expanding our special educational needs team and seeking an ambitious Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support inclusive learning and enhance pupil progress.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and inclusion staff to design and deliver targeted support in reading, writing, and numeracy.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group instruction to pupils with specific SEMH and learning needs.
- Assist with the implementation of the school’s inclusive support plan and monitor pupil progress.
- Support classroom behaviour and attendance in line with school policy.
- Contribute to pupil assessment, recording data and making progress reports.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teaching Assistant or relevant teaching experience.
- Knowledge of inclusive education and behaviour management.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- IT competence and willingness to use school technology.
