The Person You are a motivated person that has passion to work in our industry. This role really has the potential for you to develop and personally grow within our kitchen and hotel team. You will be an approachable, active and engaging person. You will be able to adapt to the flow of work in the Hotel operations.
The Role As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen at all times. These areas include: dishwash areas, pot wash areas, dry stores, kitchen floors, refuse area.
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in making sure the kitchen is clean and sanitised at all time
- Keep all cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils washed and clean
- Sweep and mop the floors
- Assist kitchen staff in putting receiving goods away
- Make sure cleaning schedules, procedures and forms are filled out
- Make sure all dishwashers and pot wash machines are properly cleaned
- Take out the garbage from the kitchen
- Make sure all hand sinks have all the items needed in each one
Core requirements:
- UK citizen or valid work permit
- Numeracy and literacy skill
- Hands‑on attitude
- Previous work experience in a professional kitchen would be beneficial
- Some knowledge of UK Food Hygiene
