We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to oversee marketing operations, content and digital strategy at our growing agency.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will take the lead on our marketing operations and thought leadership initiatives, playing a pivotal part in supporting the continued growth of theEword. You will have an exciting opportunity to shape, develop, and elevate our event strategy, ensuring it strengthens our brand presence and delivers meaningful engagement with our audience. The role will be instrumental in driving and executing our content strategy, overseeing our digital channels, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality brand voice across all touchpoints. You will also support our international expansion plans, helping to adapt and scale marketing activity across new markets. Working closely with the Marketing Executive and the Head of Commercial Operations, you will manage and coordinate key marketing functions across multiple channels, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to drive measurable impact.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Content and Thought Leadership
    • Manage and oversee the production of thought leadership materials, including blogs and strategic insights.
    • Develop and implement content strategies for reports, video outputs, and events, including the Let's Talk series and Bricks and Clicks.
    • Review marketing materials and initiatives, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Generate innovative content ideas that align with business objectives and support brand growth.
    • Contribute to international expansion initiatives through targeted thought leadership.
  • Digital Marketing and CRM
    • Manage and optimise HubSpot CRM to drive marketing campaigns and lead management.
    • Execute email marketing campaigns and automation workflows to engage key audiences.
    • Oversee social media management across all platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
    • Maintain and update website content.
  • Events Management
    • Plan and execute events from concept to delivery, ensuring seamless execution.
    • Coordinate marketing calendars to align campaigns, content, and events.
  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Produce regular marketing performance reports and analytics.
    • Track and analyse campaign effectiveness across all channels.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous optimisation.
    • Work closely with the Marketing Executive on day-to-day campaign execution.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Operations to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
    • Act as a key liaison across departments to ensure cohesive marketing outputs and initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

  • At least three years working in a marketing agency environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience in planning, production, and promotion of campaign work for clients.
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrable previous success, having worked on multiple projects and campaigns in a digital or creative marketing agency environment.
  • Highly organised, with amazing written and verbal communication skills and a love of working with and being around people.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review work critically and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience using HubSpot CRM for marketing and lead management is highly advantageous.
  • Background in events management and execution.
  • Proficiency in design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.

  • Hybrid Working: work in the office when you want, but work remotely when it’s more productive. All we ask in return is for you to be in the office at least 2 days a month and when required for client face-to-face meetings.
  • Flexitime: Start between 08:00 to 09:00 and finish between 16:30 to 17:30; for an early dart on a Friday this is 16:00 to 17:00!
  • Annual Leave: 31 days including bank holidays and Christmas, plus your birthday off after 1 year's service and an additional day's holiday for every year you’re part of our team, up to an additional 20 days!
