The team at Malet Lambert School are looking for a motivated individual to join our Design and Technology department as a Technical Support Assistant for D&T. You will provide support across the department team to help ensure staff and pupils have the resources and practical support to complete teaching and learning tasks successfully throughout the teaching day and events across the school year.

The working hours are from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Tuesday day off) during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 28 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be £16,372 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who is committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. The successful applicant will have:

  • GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Knowledge of COSHH, ESCC and food hygiene regulations in relation to the safe handling and storage of chemicals and food.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in relation to handling and usage of hazardous equipment and tools.
