Are you detail-driven, customer-focused, and looking to start a career pathway in People Services? We are looking for a People Services Administration Assistant to join our shared services team, who will be responsible for delivering a people focussed service to colleagues whilst ensuring our recruitment and people administration processes run smoothly.

The key portfolio upon appointment with us will include:

  • Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Administration
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems

There will also be opportunities to support with wider people services activities and projects with real career pathways open to the successful candidate, this may include access to professional qualifications such as CIPD or CIPP accredited courses to support career development.

The role will be based at our Teacher Development Centre in Melton, near Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The working hours are up to 37 hours per week, term time only with the requirement to work 74 additional hours during school closure periods. We also welcome applications from those seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements; however the role will be predominantly office based. The actual annual salary upon appointment with TEAL will be £22,897.80 per annum (based on 37 hours per week).

What are we looking for? We are looking for an organised and proactive administrator with a strong interest in people services. You will have:

  • Experience in an administrative or customer-focused role, with strong transferable skills welcomed
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confidence using IT systems and managing accurate, confidential records
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable as is prior experience of the education sector, but these are not essential requirements, as training will be provided.
