An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Teacher of Science, with the preference to teach A-Level Chemistry and Physics. We are looking for a passionate individual to work as part of our friendly, dedicated Science department, to further enhance the support and guidance offered to our young people. If successful, you would facilitate and encourage learning which enables students to achieve high standards: to share and support the corporate responsibility for the well-being, education and discipline of all students.
Starting in Easter 2026, the role will be paid on TEALβs qualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 9). If you are interested in working on a part-time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.
The Science department at South Hunsley is a dynamic and dedicated team who consistently achieve some of the best outcomes in our region. Students at South Hunsley School enjoy their Science curriculum, and this is reflected in the large number of students opting to join our post-16 courses.

- Have reduced data collections to twice yearly
- Do not expect staff to respond to emails outside normal working hours
- Do not deploy staff at other Trust schools unless it is at their request
We have removed the following:
- Performance management objectives and performance-related pay
- Lesson observations and high stakes, toxic accountability
- Requirements for daily or weekly lesson plans
