An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Subject Leader of Modern Foreign Languages at Driffield School and Sixth Form. We are looking for a highly motivated, forward‑thinking and passionate individual to lead our MFL team. If successful, you would be the lead of the department in promoting the highest standards of teaching and supporting students of all backgrounds and abilities.

The department currently delivers French and Spanish at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and hopes to be able to offer A Level groups in the future. The successful applicant will play an active role in working collaboratively with peers from across the Education Alliance on the development of our curricula, evaluating curriculum design, implementation and impact.

In their last visit (February 2025), Ofsted described our school as an inclusive school, where pupils are encouraged to be here, be yourself and be your best. They described Driffield students as kind and respectful and inquisitive and motivated to do well.

Driffield School is based in the heart of the bucolic Yorkshire Wolds and is easily accessible from local towns and cities (commutes of 20 minutes from Beverley, 30 minutes from Scarborough and 40 minutes from York or Hull).
