The team at Malet Lambert School are looking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Learning Resource Centre Manager who will manage, develop, and promote the Learning Resource Centre within the school. They will ensure that an effective service is available to both pupils and staff, which will support learning in line with the National Curriculum. This will include providing support to pupils in the delivery of day-to-day information and queries and general pupil issues.

The post-holder will also manage and promote the school rewards shop involving a set of agreed upon rules that reflect the school’s core values and promote the desired behaviours. They will carry out a range of administration duties that support the work of the wider school, in particular Pupil Support.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 37 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be £22,686.15 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for? We are looking for an individual who has a good standard of education, including English and Maths GCSE (Grades A-C or equivalent). The successful applicant should have experience of working in a Library / Resource Centre and previously worked with young people.
