Wilberfoss C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated individual committed to positively impacting children's lives to join our friendly team of Teaching Assistants. The role involves supporting and assisting in the teaching, learning, and care of children within our Early Years Foundation Stage.
The working hours are from 08:30 am to 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday during term time. The salary is £16,122.80 per annum, paid in 12 monthly installments. Additionally, you will work 2.5 hours weekly as a Lunchtime Supervisor, supervising pupils during lunch, with an additional salary of £1,337.85 per annum. Both roles are fixed-term until 31st August 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitating pupils' participation and learning
- Building confidence and self-esteem
- Clarifying and explaining instructions
- Ensuring pupils can use equipment and materials, including moving and handling to meet individual needs
- Assisting in areas such as language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting, ICT, social skills, and EAL
- Helping pupils concentrate and complete work
- Meeting physical needs while encouraging independence
- Liaising with teachers and SENCO about individual needs
- Developing resources to support pupils
- Supporting children 1:1
