Why choose us?

Set in the rural village of Naburn, just outside York, we are a small school with a big history, a big heart and big ideas. As a church school, we follow Christian values in all we do: how we treat each other, how we help those in need, and the example we demonstrate. We aim to develop confidence and independence, recognising that each of us has a part to play as a responsible member of our learning environment, our local community and wider society. We believe all children thrive in an environment where they are happy, having fun, challenged and secure.

We invite you to learn more about our school and community. Please contact our school office at 01904 551075 or naburn.primary@york.gov.uk to arrange a tour. You can also visit our website: https://www.naburnschool.com/

What we offer

  • Trust our staff to plan, prepare and assess at times that suit them, including off-site PPA
  • Centralised Behaviour Policy to free teachers from supervising detentions
  • Ethical leadership built on professional trust
  • Evidence-informed CPD that is predominantly subject-specific
  • Reduced data collections to twice yearly
