The family run Herb farm , fronted by herb grower and expert, Jekka McVicar was established in 1984 and specialises in the growing & usage of medicinal & culinary herb plants and seeds.
The Herb Farm, also home to Jekka’s Herbetum and Jekka’s Herb Garden is entering a new phase, focused on herb education to inspire and teach how to grow and use herbs.
Jekka’s Herb Farm is currently looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Senior Gardener to join a dedicated team and assist in the care and maintenance of the 400 different types of herb grown at the farm. The applicant needs to have an understanding of the fundamental horticulture skills and should be keen to learn and develop in a nursery environment
The candidate will take ownership of key garden areas, maintain high horticultural standards, support plant propagation, and engage with visitors, volunteers, and event guests. The position requires someone who has strong practical gardening and horticultural skills; a passion for herbs and sustainable gardening; is experienced working independently and with volunteers; and has a flexible, positive approach and love of learning.
- Contract: Full time, permanent role
