The role
This role is all about building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships while ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish. You will be the trusted guide for Alitex clients, supporting them at every step of their journey and ensuring they feel valued, informed, and delighted with their experience.
Alongside customer care, you will also oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of glasshouse projects in the UK and overseas. From managing timelines and technical surveys to collaborating with internal teams and external partners, you’ll ensure every detail is handled with precision. This balance of relationship management and technical organisation is at the heart of the role.
The candidate will receive in-house, on the job training to take on the following key responsibilities:
- Be the main point of contact for customers, maintaining regular communication and providing reassurance throughout their Alitex journey.
- Capture and record key customer information and project updates using the in-house CRM system.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, managing each stage from sale through design, production, and installation.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and the highest standards of delivery.
- Anticipate and resolve customer or contractor queries promptly, maintaining confidence and trust.
- Conduct technical site surveys (UK and overseas) to verify dimensions, check tolerances, and assess safety.
- Produce clear, detailed reports from technical surveys to share with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain well-structured project plans and timelines, ensuring milestones are met.
- Identify potential risks, always prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.
The candidate
You possess a strong aptitude for establishing rapport and providing exceptional customer service. You have proven experience in managing multiple projects and balancing competing priorities. Your exceptional communication skills, enable you to articulate technical details in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
You demonstrate high organisational and detail-oriented abilities, and you are proficient in utilising CRM systems and administrative processes. As a collaborative team player, you effectively work with both colleagues and external partners. Furthermore, you are a problem-solver who maintains composure under pressure and remains steadfast in creating positive outcomes for customers. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK and have a full driving license.
