This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of running a new Community owned business. The CornerStone of Rannoch is a bar/restaurant and flexible office space opening Spring 2025. Working closely with the Rannoch Community Trust team, we require a Sous Chef candidate who has experience in a kitchen environment, preparing fresh food daily. The Sous Chef will assist the Chef playing a vital role in the success of a Community owned venue.

Duties and responsibilities of The CornerStone Sous Chef:

  • Liaising with the Head Chef and General Manager.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with a lot of personality and individuality.
  • At least 1 year experience in a busy fresh food bar/restaurant environment.
  • You will need to be focused and keen.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Be forward thinking and dynamic, ensuring the kitchen is performing to its best at all times.
  • Be 100% focused on delivering great food at all times.
  • Full understanding of food and hygiene standards.

The successful candidate will have 1+ years experience in a well-regarded restaurant/bar environment and be passionate about building a career in hospitality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. 10 hour shift. 12 hour shift. 8 hour shift. 5 hour shift. Weekend availability.

Salary and Benefits:

  • £12.70 - £14.00 per hour depending on experience.
  • Weekly hourly pay.
  • Up to 28 days accrued holiday pay.
  • Discount on food in The CornerStone.
  • Profit share incentive and bonus scheme.
  • Your working hours will be 35 - 40hrs per week. Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to work evenings and weekends.
  • Staff meals.

Experience: Sous Chef: 1 year (required).

Location: United Kingdom (required).
