Sirius Academy West are seeking to appoint a friendly and efficient Pastoral Support Officer (non-teaching) to join our Pastoral Team to provide a comprehensive administrative, pastoral and welfare support service to the Academy students. The needs of the academy are evolving so the role will require flexibility and adaptability in order to respond to these needs and priorities.

Salary: Grade 7, Point 20 £32,597 - Point 24 £35,412 pro rata for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus five additional training days (39 weeks per year).

The role will require you to establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model, support senior staff in maintaining a positive climate for learning including promoting the Academy’s core values at all times and create effective relationships with parent/carer and manage potentially conflicting situations by negotiating positively on behalf of the Academy.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal authoritatively and sensitively with young people. We are an Academy where students are supported by outstanding behavioural and inclusion teams.
